With E4D Dentistry, Dental Crowns in One Day
Patients will soon be able to watch their new tooth come to life and enjoy the convenience of same-day dentistry. E4D dentistry allows the skilled dentists at Aspenwood Dental Associates and Colorado Dental Implant Center to take a quick, clean digital impression using E4D’s cutting-edge laser scanning technology. Then our team will design and create a custom, permanent crown in the office in far less time than the conventional methods.
In the design center, a 3D model of the tooth is created using the system’s state-of-the-art software. The dentist can customize the restoration to fit the patient’s unique characteristics and then create the crown right in the dental office.
Instead of waiting for a second visit to place your crown, you can walk out of our comfortable office in Aurora with a brand-new and natural-looking dental crown the same day you walk in. Our skilled cosmetic dentists can also use the E4D system to create porcelain veneers and tooth-colored fillings quickly with digital precision.
Why would Same-Day CEREC Crowns be needed?
The reason you might need a crown is because a tooth has cracked, fractured or broken. You might even have a tooth that has a large, old filling in it that needs to be replaced. Patients who have recently undergone a root canal will benefit from a crown because the root canaled tooth is more susceptible to breaking. Crowns are used to cover a compromised tooth to restore it to its original shape and size.
Who is a candidate for Same-Day CEREC Crowns?
Most patients are good candidates for same-day CEREC crowns. We will examine your teeth to determine if a crown is necessary and if it is, it is recommended that it be placed as soon as possible. This prevents further damage to the tooth, which could lead to the need for an extraction. If you have recently had a root canal performed, it is important that you have a crown placed before the tooth breaks or cracks.
