We are one independent practice at one address, and that is on purpose. When you come to us from the Nine Mile area, you see the same team each visit, whether you are due for a routine cleaning or working through something that takes several appointments. Getting here from Nine Mile Station
Nine Mile Station sits in the median of Interstate 225 at S Parker Road, on an island platform above the highway. Underneath it are a 1,225 space park-n-ride garage and a bus transfer facility. The R Line serves the station, and RTD bus routes 35, 83D, 83L, 121, 130, 133, 135, 139 and 483 connect through it, along with the AT and ATA SkyRide buses to the airport.
Worth knowing if you are planning a trip by rail: RTD suspended the H Line on June 7, 2026 for the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project, so the R Line is the light rail service at Nine Mile for now. Check the current RTD schedule before you travel, because this is temporary and the routing may change again.
From the station, our office is a short drive west along E Iliff Avenue. The practice puts that at about three minutes by car. If you are coming from further out, we are straightforward to reach from I-225, S Parker Road, and S Peoria Street, which is the corridor most people use to reach us from the Nine Mile side.
One thing worth stating plainly: we do not have an office at Nine Mile Station. There is one Aspenwood Dental practice, at 2900 S Peoria St in Aurora, and we serve the Nine Mile area from there. You can see the office details and map on our locations page.
The station borrows its name from the Nine Mile House, a stage stop on the old Smoky Hill Trail that sat roughly nine miles out from Denver. People have been moving through this stretch of Aurora for a very long time, and Cherry Creek State Park still sits right alongside it. We have been at the Peoria and Iliff end of that corridor since 1972.
Our hours, and how to plan around them
We are a weekday practice, so it is worth checking the schedule before you plan a trip in:
- Monday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: closed
If leaving work mid-day is difficult, Tuesday and Thursday run until 6:00 PM. If you would rather get it done before the day starts, Monday, Wednesday and Friday open at 7:00 AM. Tell us which end of the day suits you when you call and we will work with it.
What you can take care of in one place
Most people who find us from the Nine Mile area start with the basics and stay for everything else. That is the point of a dental home.

Suitability is decided after an examination and imaging, not from a web page, so the honest first step is a consultation.
How your smile looks. Whitening, bonding, veneers and other cosmetic dentistry options are available, and we will show you what is realistic for your teeth before you commit to anything.
If it has been a while since your last visit
Plenty of adults go years between dental visits. Sometimes that is a scheduling problem. Sometimes it is a bad experience somewhere else, or the worry about being lectured on the state of your teeth the moment you sit down. That lecture is not part of an appointment here.

Four dentists practice here. Dr. Ronald Yaros, DDS founded the practice and has worked in the Denver area for more than 35 years. Dr. Lisa Augustine, DDS has been in practice since 1996 and has been named a 5280 Magazine Top Dentist every year since 2008. Dr. Daniel Jay Zeppelin joined in 2003 and has also been named a 5280 Magazine Top Dentist every year since 2008. Dr. Aaron Sun, DDS trained at the University of Colorado and has advanced training in implant and cosmetic options. Behind them is a hygiene team with long tenures at this practice, which means less re-explaining your history at every appointment.
